Our summer lacrosse league is for advanced-level Purple players looking for practices and games but at a lighter schedule than spring season. Summer Purple League practices on Mondays starting June 4th and has games on Wednesdays starting June 6th. The summer program ends with a game on Wednesday June 27th.
All IGLA programs focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. Players receive equal playing time and play in all positions. Coaches are HS players and parent volunteers.
WHO CAN PLAY? (AGES)
Summer Purple League is for rising 4th – 9th graders with advanced skill. Players who have not played Purple in spring 2018 or calendar year 2017 are required to attend a skills assessment in May. Spring 2018 or calendar year 2017 Purple players are waived from a skills assessment and may sign up when registration opens. New players to Purple must attend a skills assessment. The 2018 summer Purple league lasts four weeks and runs from June 4th (first practice) – June 27th (last game). Practices are on Mondays and games are on Wednesdays.
- Summer Purple League participation fee is $150
- Pinny: $20*
*Please note, a reversible mesh IGLA pinny is required at all games. If a player has an IGLA pinny , she may wear that pinny for all subsequent seasons.

Each player in the league must have goggles, a girls stick, and a molded mouth guard. Lacrosse cleats are recommended but not required; soccer cleats as well as athletic shoes are allowed.
IGLA offers both conference calls and in-person meetings. Each Purple practice location will hold a parent meeting at the start of the first practice on Monday June 4th.
