Our summer lacrosse league is for advanced-level Purple players looking for practices and games but at a lighter schedule than spring season. Summer Purple League practices on Mondays starting June 3rd and has games on Wednesdays starting June 12th (Wednesday June 5th is a practice.) The summer program ends with a game on Wednesday June 26th.
All IGLA programs focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. Players receive equal playing time and play in all positions. Summer Purple League coaches are HS and college players and adult coaches who have played the women’s game.
WHO CAN PLAY? (AGES)
Summer Purple League is for rising 3rd-9th graders with advanced skill. Players who have not played Purple in spring 2019 or calendar year 2018 are required to attend a skills assessment. Spring 2019 or calendar year 2018 Purple players are waived from a skills assessment and may sign up when registration opens. New players to Purple must attend a skills assessment. The 2019 summer Purple league lasts four weeks and runs from June 3rd (first practice) – June 26th (last game). Practices are on Mondays and games are on Wednesdays (Wednesday June 5th is a practice and games begin on Wednesday June 12th.)
- Summer Purple League participation fee is $150
- Pinny: $20*
*Please note, a reversible mesh IGLA pinny is required at all games. If a player has an IGLA pinny , she may wear that pinny for all subsequent seasons.
Summer Purple League practices are on Mondays starting June 3rd and running through Monday June 24th. All practices are from 6:00pm – 7:15pm. There is an additional practice on Wednesday, June 5th.

Each player in the league must have goggles, a girls stick, and a molded mouth guard. Lacrosse cleats are recommended but not required; soccer cleats as well as athletic shoes are allowed.
IGLA offers both conference calls and in-person meetings. Each Purple practice location will hold a parent meeting at the start of the first practice on Monday June 4th.
