Fall League

Our fall lacrosse league focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. Players receive equal playing time and play in all positions. Coaches are HS players and parent volunteers.

IGLA follows the US Lacrosse Athlete Development Model (ADM) which recommends small-sided play to ensure all girls are involved in the game. Please read below for a brief description of the ADM (click here for more in-depth information on the ADM):

“Smaller players, smaller fields. That’s the name of the game if we want to keep kids engaged, developing their skills and getting more touches on the ball. We’ve developed evidence based guidelines for the best way to compete at each level starting with 3 v 3 and progressing up to full-field. See better skill development, more enjoyment, and increased retention rates by letting the kids play the right way. It is our sincere hope that players across the country will have an opportunity to learn lacrosse in a way that is physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially appropriate. We believe that this increases both the learning and fun for young athletes, which will help them reach their long term potential.”

For players in K-1st grades, we offer Fall FUNdamentals clinics. For specific information for your area visit the Communities Page.
