REGISTRATION

During spring 2017, players in Glencoe are welcome to play through the Wilmette, Northbrook/Glenview or Kenilworth practice location. You can view practice location details here. Please fill out the Pink Player Information Form here, and register through the Wilmette, Northbrook, or Glenview park district. Please note, Kenilworth players register and pay directly through IGLA.

Experienced players looking for an advanced league, please contact Jennifer Devens at jennifer@iglax.org to be placed on a Purple League team.

STEP 1: PLAYER INFORMATION FORM (PIF)

The PIF gives your coach important information about you and your daughter, including uniform sizing, teammate requests, and other key information to facilitate IGLA communication. The PIF also includes the IGLA waiver which must be accepted in order to complete the registration and participate in the program.

STEP 2: PAYMENT

Please note, an IGLA pinny is required to be worn at all games. If the player has an IGLA pinny from a past season, she may wear that pinny for subsequent seasons. If the player requires a new pinny, they are available for purchase through the IGLA PIF for $20. Complete pinny payment online or by mailing in a check.

We are not currently fielding teams in Glencoe. If you are interested in becoming an IGLA Location Director (paid position, and no lacrosse experience necessary) for a different location, please contact Jennifer Devens at jennifer@iglax.org.

SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

IGLA summer camps are for players in K-9th grades of any experience level. Activities are designed to introduce basic lacrosse techniques to beginners and to provide more in-depth instruction to those players who have experience.

Getting There

FALL INFORMATION

Fall Season is September 11th – October 23rd.

Leagues Practices (2nd-9th grades)

The first practice is Sunday, September 11th from 3:00-4:30pm at Ron Beese Park in Barrington. All other practices are Tuesdays from 9/13 – 10/18 as follows :

U9 (2nd-3rd graders) and U11 (4th-5th graders): :60 from 5:30pm-6:30pm
U13 (6th-some 7th graders) and U15 (some 7th graders, 8th-9th graders): :75 from 5:30pm-6:45pm

All practices are at Ron Beese, Barrington. The league fee is $180.

U7 FUNdamentals Clinics (K-1st grades)

U7 CLINICS (K-1st graders): 1 day per week/6 weeks/$130. Tuesdays: 9/13 – 10/18. :60 practice from 5:30pm-6:30pm; :30 practice and :30 scrimmage game.

 

Game Information

Games take place on Sunday afternoons between 12-5pm. Locations include Ron Beese and fields in the Northwest Divisions. Fall game dates are 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16 (FREE Fall Fest!) and 10/23. Games are scheduled as follows:

U9: :60 between 12pm-2pm (:30 practice, :30 game); U11: :75 between 12pm-3pm (:30 practice, :45 game); U13: :75 between 1pm-4pm (:30 practice, :45 game); U15: :75 between 2pm-5pm (:30 practice, :45 game).

Teams may be scheduled for double-headers.

Team Rosters

Want to know who is on your daughter’s team? Log onto League Athletics and follow these steps:
  1. From the purple menu bar across the top of the home page, select “Team”, “Choose a Team”. You’ll choose your location and grade.
  2. At the next screen, head to the “Team” option at the top and choose roster. From there you will be able to see your daughter and her teammates!

WEATHER INFORMATION

Practices and games will have a 30 minute delay for any thunder or lightning. Severe weather may cause cancellations. Cancellations will be posted on the IGLA home page. IGLA also uses a text message service for any cancellations within one hour. Please ensure you ensure that the cell number you indicate on your daughter’s Player Information Form is the number you wish to be contacted at for weather-related texts.
